RJSTalent.com books Romao and The Sound of Drums. He is an electrifying performer that takes what ever is happening and kicks it up a notch. Recently he was included in the filming of a Pepsi commercial at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale and I showed up to take some pictures and lend support. While there I met Jayquan.
Jayquan comes from a very musical family. His mother was a dancer for the late Tito Puente and his father was lead singer in The Emeralds, a Doo-Wop group.
You may remember the Nas-T-Boyz? That is the group that Jayquan and his friends put together a few years back. They produced hits that included "What I'm Feeling," The Search," and "Intimate Strangers."
Jayquan also formed a band with Tito Puente, Jr. called "The Latin Rhythm." Hits from this band include "Ritmo Latino" and the famous "Oye Como Va."
Through these associations Jayquan has appeared in music videos, movies and TV shows, and toured all over the world. He has worked with Tito Puente, Sr., Celia Cruz, Marky Mark, La India, and even Marc Anthony.
Jayquan is still involved with the Nas-T-Boyz, but is more focused these days on his solo career. He performs regularly at events and festivals all over the United States and also makes time for to give back by performing at selected charity events. His style includes R&B, Pop, Latin and Reggaeton.
